Dvd burner?

I've currently downloaded lots of films off the internet, yet im wanting to put them on to cd in order to give to friends/watch them myself on tv in the other room.

Yet when i put them on, the dvd doesnt recognize anything?
I'm using the burner which comes with windows. (heard its **** but does the trick for normal files etc)
Anyways, does ne one know what i can do in order for them to work? do i need to download a new dvd burner software or something?

Any help would be appreciated thanks alot

Just copy pasting files into the drive on windows won't help I don't think m8, you will need to make a DVD image using something like Nero I suppose. I don't do this myself though so I'm not totally sure. I assume it is though, since most downloaded DVD-Rips are in BIN, CUE format.

VCDs maybe [you can use windows media player to burn a collection of videos onto disc]...?
