Once i get to around 1000 movies added, my plan is to add a live tv stream to this aswell

I did make something like this before but, this time it will surport the pause live tv

you need to make the updater built in, so i dont have to copy across the exe each time.

also have a button to hide the side menu. i dont watch my films full screen usually, but having the side menu whilst watching is annoying.

Hey Lifco, love the idea - seems to work pretty well, even on my 4mb connection! I've had a look through your code and I've got a couple of ideas/suggestions to make adding movies alot easier. Let me know if you want a hand!

Nice work lif, but i guess it's going to be a drag updating with new films and programs though.

If you do start adding a lot of films and stuff i would think about adding a search in it so you can search for a film instead of scrolling down the list.

Yep it's a great idea, but for it to work it's going to take a lot of time and effort from yourself to keep it updated.

Search function would be good for future.
Hiding side bar as Ferrit says.
An auto update feature.
Maybe add a "rating" option, so people can rate the film out of 5?

Dunno if it's been suggested but with TV series it need's to be cleaned up as it populates the list with all the episodes with all the shows, better to hide the episodes until the title is double clicked.

I really want to spent my time adding more films at mo, but ive done a quick clean up on the code today

Also redone the tv section and added even more movies

Update sometime in the next 48 hours (try even if i dont post here)

I've put together an example of what i meant earlier. Storing the movie data in something like an XML file will make it much easier to add new content.

Please have a look through attached example -should give you an idea of what i mean

This is a nice idea lif, have you considered linking it to a torrent website, so it lists the search results/films from the torrent site, and lets you stream them as if it was downloading, like utorrent does.
2-3 versions of each film of different quality would also be a plus, then people can stream according to what their connection can handle. ie (general dvd quality, 720p , 1080p etc)

overall it just needs more features/content/tidying up and a make over.

This update 15/09/2012 (update vir file/update on the app)

1. Remade the look and feel of the player.

2. You can now manually resize the app to just fit the tv screen (not full screen mode)
Good for watching tv and still be able to view more of the desktop.

3. Remade the pause/play button (once paused it will now say play)

4. Cleaned up quite a lot of small things aswell.

5. Banner removed.

6. Cleaned up the tv section alittle.

7. One extra dns added.

8. New custom buffer system added (should improve viewing experience)

9. Custom bass and treble added.

10. More movies added.

Next update will added the live tv to this app

The anchors are wrong with the listbox and the image, they don't move when the app window is being stretched also the video frame doesn't stretch with it.

I made it like this so peeps can shrink to just around the tv screen only, so you can use your desktop more, if you wanted to stretch go full screen

If you find this is a problem i can take a look at it on a diffrent update for you mate

1. Fixed Terminator Salvation (was not working)

2. Cleaned up all the movies lists.

3. Live Tv is now added.

Please allow 60 seconds to connect and buffer,
Not all streams are 24H broadcasting.
Good internet speed is needed.
Some sport/xxx are none english.

Live Tv is very much beta mode at mo,
and looking to add things like onscreen tv listing soon.

But all in all the app is moving on nice.
