The picture looks very poor quality. Get a better image also the font is rubbish try making it white or sumthing to stand out from the background.

ok pic placement is bad. i think it would look better over to the left more. the font doesnt look that bad make it smaller.

the bg looks ok it doesnt go with the pic.

nice attempt on your 1st. keep it up and mess around with different styles and find one your good at and like and stick with it

first thing anyone new to design should do is take a look at type/font its the first thing people look at in anything, sigs banners w/e, once you got that sort out the background, bad text can rape everything.
