Basically im setting up some forums for something... what are the best (non-buggy/non-laggy) forum boards that can handle a semi-decent amount of users at the same time?

If you have webspace, use Invision Power Board 1.3 or earlier (as they were free and had no limits).

Otherwise, I dunno, give some a try and see what you think.
