Just bought myself a geforce gtx 260 for £168, can I set everything to maximum if not what do you suggest I set it to?

RD is a childish idiots, that thinks he knows everything cause he can use the tinternet.
Esiest way to test the card is using benchmarking software like SIS Sandra and change your settings and bench it untill you get the desired result, I wouldn't advise setting everything to max on the card as you can quickly ware it out like this.
by maximum what are you meaning? adjust settings as you wish but keep an extra close eye on running temperatures if your going to mess with the card itself.
i could be wrong but the most important thing you would do is getting the fsb and the memory clocks in sync
