Have I set it up right?

I can't log into it, says offline on the launcher but if it's running ok then must be the way I'm setting up the HL file

Check Firewalls are down and ips and names are right thats always one problem y it doesnt work.

Do I take it from that then that all the gates are open and the server went online? I was a little unsure about the last 2 gates, I was expecting ----][---- and instead got some chinese characters. I'll sort out the firewalls np

The chinese characters mean its open i think well it has for me the only thing i can see is the 2 magic gates im not sure if this is a problem

yeah check all ips also the reson your getting offline is your computer canno talk to login gate as this is the program that says its online to my knowlage

what firewall are you using and have you also forwarded the ports??

cant see your logingate up... without that launcher will say offline.

I followed this from Milo:

1.LoginSvr.exe
2.HolleyDBSvr
3-1.Netcheck
3-2.Loader3G <------Wait a little and it will auto load the main server
4.Gamegate and Selgate

Loginsvr is bottom left image, 2 is top left, 3-1 is bottom right, 3-2 is centre,
4 is middle right and top right, respectively.

Is there something I missed?

yes, right at the end you have to also start up the logingate (really this can be started up at anytime tho). Or if you are using the regserver that came with the 3.55 files also, then you do not need logingate as it acts in place of it.
