help please

ok well basicly i have downloaded alot of private servers over the years, and once in a while i come across one which i cannot get onto

i have downloaded a server to my pc but when i try and open the mir2.exe it keeps coming up with an error and spams across my screen for about 3 seconds then goes. i have downloaded it twice and it keeps doing it,

when i open it it comes up

Access violation at address 004F5ABC in module 'mir2.exe'. read of address 000005A4


any shed any light on this for me please.

yer ive seen this a few times,

have you tryed this, right click it properties/compatibilty and pick run this program (win me is best)

if this doen not work for you maybe its the exe thats at foult ? and i ask what files are they

its with 2.3 files,

ive just tryed what you suggested and didnt work, i know its not the files as they work fine on my laptop, could it be my computer? as graphics and sound all built in. or would this not cause me problems.

not sure 100% whats causing it, but i know one cause is playing on the same machine the server files are hosted from.

i remember reading something somewhere about sound drivers,, make sure you have the latest ones for your card/board and try that
