I always notice you guys use bhp to measure the cars power so I looked it up because we use HP in america.

Brake horsepower

Brake horsepower (bhp) is the measure of an engine's horsepower without the loss in power caused by the gearbox, generator, differential, water pump, and other auxiliary components such as alternator, power steering, and AC compressor. Thus the prefix "brake" refers to where the power is measured: at the engine's output shaft, as on an engine dynamometer. The actual horsepower delivered to the driving wheels is less. An engine would have to be retested to obtain a rating in another system. The term "brake" refers to the original use of a band brake to measure torque during the test (which is multiplied by the engine RPM and a scaling constant to give horsepower).

Now a lot of the cars I see you guys getting have like 105 bhp and what not so in all you guys really have like 90 hp cars. So let me get this straight you guys mod little go-karts and since everyones car is pretty much slow you think they are fast? lol

My mustang has 260 hp and about 300 pounds of torque and I can go about top speed of 135 mph before engine cuts out.

am I just mis-informed? Tell me how fast your car is and what not whats your 0 to 60?

PS. my car does 0-60 in 6.1 seconds.

Whats insurance prices like in America? And Petrol?

Young drivers tend to only have small engines because of the above.

Thats my Focus RS standard, mine isn't standard.. at a guess from what other people have got with the same mods mine should be 300+ Bhp, i'll find out when I get a RR done next month.

Yes, all my money goes into my car. Its a wonder my girlfriend hasnt left me.

Dont go saying "everyone's car is slow" because im pretty sure you wouldnt beat me in a race. (Not that I race people on public roads, thats just silly)

its a fact, cars in the US r bigger n faster then the UK, most ppl on here probly have a 100bhp(@ fly) run about which is all they can afford but its power to weight u want..

My CQ is 170ish Brake - 8.1Sec to 60, but it also weights liek 40 tonnes pretty much as heavy as ur Mustang...

alot of the greatest cars in the UK, EG Loz's FRS(ME=Jelous tbh) the 205 GTI etc arnt amazing BHP figures like ur monster V8's over there, but wot counts is how that power is layed down in the twisties!!
