God this made me laugh, this was during yesterday people could edit the mastery page to make the cooldowns of summoney spells / spells infinite numbers, so summoner spells being 0 cooldown.

Here's a video, try not to laugh.

Note: this has since been fixed, so don't worry. Also they've stated anyone who did this is getting permabanned, GG.

Summoners,

If you've been playing online games for any length of time, you probably know that most games eventually have to deal with scum of the earth cheaters that enjoy ruining your experience. League of Legends is one of the largest games on the planet, and the downside is that there are more people actively working to find exploits that create an unfair advantage for other players.

That's bull****, and we're not going to allow it.

We take this seriously. Nothing is more important to us than the sanctity of our game, competitive or otherwise. As soon as we discovered the issue, we immediately dropped everything to find both immediate and permanent fixes. I'm happy to report that the immediate fix has been implemented, and we'll be restarting all regions this evening to add some redundancy which will prevent similar exploits in the future. As we continue to investigate and further analyze data, our primary commitment is identifying players affected and doing everything within our power to make it right.

Is this the end of people trying to ruin your experience? No. But we're committed to stopping this kind of behavior in its tracks, and are discussing ways to increase our monitoring and development as part of that commitment. We have comprehensive logs and data that allow us to see precisely who did what, and also who was negatively affected by this malicious behavior. We’ve identified all of the players that have been using this exploit, and we’re going to be taking firm action against their accounts.

This kind of stuff is unacceptable, and will never be tolerated by Riot Games. For those of you who have been reporting the issue, thank you! We've been deleting all threads about it in the forums to keep visibility low, but we've definitely appreciated you making us aware.

We've traced use of this exploit back to 622 players in North America and Europe. All of which have been permaforever banned. This kind of stuff is unacceptable, and will never be tolerated by Riot Games. For those of you who have been reporting the issue, thank you! - 662 players were banned the moment the hotfix was applied. And personally I didn't find it funny, 2 and a half years the games been up possibly 3 now, it's a shame that a hack was found and abused to such a level. Especially on the korean side (But hey they're notorious for client hacks, there was also one that showed wards / buffs in the fog of war).

It was humorous seeing Urgot flashing around like that, but in reality I suppose it crushed the game and ruined it for everyone. I'm glad they've started banning people for it.

Some people were doing something different other than flash+smite, they were doing promote+heal, stacking up as many seige minions as they could and promoted them all, then infinitely healing them to push the nexus within 10mins...

How stupid.

2 Weeks? jesus. Bet Korea were raging over it lol.

Tbh this is the sort of thing I like to see from a company, cracking down on cheats asap, and punishing those who did cheat harshly. Otherwise if you are lenient towards it AT ALL, people will just do it again and again.
