Hi everyone,
I used to play Mir years ago and had some great times. I (for nostalgia reasons) I am wanting to setup a local server where me and a couple of friends could play.
The issue is, would it be possible to run on my PC.
I have:
Windows 10 Home
i7 4790k
32GB 2133Mhz CL9 DDR3 RAM
240GB spare SSD
20 U/L - 80 D/L Mbit fibre optic internet (Ethernet connection)
I have seen many times that you need Windows XP to do this, but is it possible to run everything on compatibility mode, and would my multi-core CPU cause problems?
Is there any possible way I would be able to get this working, or would I have to build a new system with a cheap i3 dual core processor and XP as the OS?
Thanks in advance for your time and help.
