Making A Network server!!

Hello ppl im trying to make a network server and im making my client pc act as the server, im giving it the network IP on my client pc and it doesn’t connect... Could it be because I have a router? or I have made some wrong setup ? Can some 1 help me out please

Im confused as to what you mean? Do you have 1 machine, 2 machines - Loads??

A Network of machines is 2 or more machines connected via a switch, router (with inbuilt siwtch) or a hub....Using network cables (lol).

Lets take the situation of 2 machines connected via a router, pc one would be IP x.x.x.1 and pc 2 would be x.x.x.2. Now the Server running mir3 would need all the IP's to be the same ip as the Network card - Not 127.0.0.1 - as this is a local only IP...

PC 2 would then need to have the connect ip as PC 1...

Maybe a bit more info would help...

netwrk IP's are usually:

192.168.0.x
