making server public!

ok i have my server, ready and i can connect, but do not know how to configure to let others connect over the internet?

i have tried about 7 different methods from guides and some suggestions on here, but no luck wen others try to access the server....can sum1 pls provide me with a step by step of how to make the server public! also allowing others to create their own accounts!

make ure u put your ip every where u need and take OFF ur firewall!

Are you on a network? If so, are you the MAIN server system or is net powered by another?

no i am not on a network, and yes my firewall has been shut down!

exactly in which places do i put my ip, in the server files....cos as it is at the moment people get to the server selection screen but after the button is pressed nothing happens....

do i need to configure anything in ODBC? i can connect fine on same computer atm also!

The only place i put my Ip in is my server launcher thats it.
If it helps i use Leos front end to launch server :S??

if you use servercontrol and have everything filled in just put ur ip where it should say 127.0.0.1 and it should work

Try searching please there are 100's of threads like this. Use a server editor (the apprentices is the best) again search. *Locked*
