This is a toturial on how to make
Maps properly in Mir: The Three Heros.
This is the first Version of the toturil
so its not the best the next one will be
In MS-word so it will have images to help

1)First Off You open up MapEdit. Once open a 200x200 defult blank map should come up...if you dont want to make a 200x200 map click File and "New". There put the size of map you want.

2)Now you know what size map you want, You must find out what type of map(e.g cave, grass land, desert land ect.)
To find the grounds you goto Palette and you pick "Tile" then a small box should appear with all the Tiles you can get for your ground. Scan Through the tiles till you find the one you want.Click it and then press the "A" Tab and then your mouse button were you want to place it. To make the procces faster you can hold down your mouse button and Ctrl and it will keep creating new tiles on the ground.

3)ok. now since you have the Tiles set some of them might be a bit out of place(if you are someone that needs the map to be perfect) you can get the small details by clicking on Palette and the "TileDetails". Again a box shall come up with all the Tiles but smaller. Now click the Detailed Tile and Click "N" Tab. now place it, also you can press ctrl to make it drag.

4)Now Since you got your tiles and Detailed Tiles done you can start palcing objects. Again goto PAllette and click "Objects" Now find the object which you would click to place on your map. Becareful that you place to object in the right place as ctrl+z can only undo one step. If you dont like the palce were you put the object you cal click on the "ers" tab and then press shift and click on the object and it should dissapear, but the place were it was is not walkable so now you will need to see the non-walkalbe areas and to do this you put click View "Show Sttrib Marks" The yellow squares are the place were you cant walk. Now to get rid of these you most click the "atr" tab and hold ctrl to get rid of it, you can also make a 6x6 brush by holding shift as well.

5) Now since you put down your tiles, tile Details and your Objects you will now have to mark the Non-walkable areas, you can do this by clicking the "str" tab and clicking were you do not want to walk. To do this faster you can hold down Shift and a 6x6 brush will be there. N.B]=-You can not see the brush so becarefeul were you place the non-walkable areas.

6)now tou need to place lights in your map were there are torches(e.g a light in bichon wall) to do this goto Tool and click "set light effect". Make sure the "A" tab is selcted. Now a box should appear to ask what vaule the area is coloured. Im not 100% sure but i think that 0=Light 1=Half Night 3=Night 4=Half Day.

7) Now click File and save your map. If you want to make a image of your map fully you can click File and click "save to bitmap".

8) There are two tabs next to each other marked "z" and "Z". the "z" is to zoom in to the map and the "Z" is to zome out. Next to it has the Ratio of 100:40(defualt) Lowest is 100:5 and the highest is 100:100.

Mini Map.

To make a minimap you gotta save your map as a bitmap (from the File > "......" menu) then add that bitmap to the mmap.wil using an editor such as gadgets or the wemade wil editor.
