Didn't look to me like Korean but Chinese. Checking in GT, if select Korean explicitly, it won't translate, if Chinese it does.




I've been looking at Chinese script for a long time now (mir3d translation) and Korean does look quite distinctly different. You could describe it as Chinese pictograms have high line density, while Korean ones are airy and blocky in comparison, have fewer lines, not as dense (crowded lines). I believe average Chinese must have perfect 20/20 vision since typically they use small font size to make it even worse.

BTW sometimes when there is no space, like here after //, you may need to insert it by hand to get more sensible meaning (it affects translation, sometimes it simply won't translate if there is some non-text symbol right next to a word). Here it looks like there is a space but probably not, Chinese have quite big empty space before or after words, bigger than the standard space in English text (not space as such, just a kind of buffer attached to end or start of a word which is part of the symbol).

fyi those 4 libraries remaining are all 3rd party tools which you'll need to generate yourself by including the tools in your folder. Possibly they're part custom and UE4 related? but protobuff, mysql, recast and couchbase are all just common tools

Someone has made a guide here for c++ with protobuff which might help. I suspect the others follow a similar pattern. The code probably doesn't need to be added as it should already exist, but you'll need to put the files in the correct folder and maybe do a few of the other steps.

However.. if you don't try sell these for a few hundred quid prior to releasing to compensate those involved, I will be f**king pissed off with you, as the first server up will make more money in a month than you will all year, and on a personal level, id rather see you have the financial help than some **** wanting to go to Disney Land.

Well he did say people are spending thousands... but it seems ridiculous, honestly, id prefer to see an official LOMCN one for a year prior to release with patches delayed to the open source thereafter. . to fund our coders etc for all the free work they've done and fund the Forum/Server costs indefinitely.

I mean its pretty obvious that these mir4 servers are either run by Wemade or a former employee of wemade so other people looking to access them it obviously going to upset them.

Would be great if lomcn got the full set of functioning Mir4 files though and fixed all the cash shop / lack of drop issues the game had honestly its 100x better than Mir2/3 in terms of pvp balance and gameplay its only Wetrash and their greed that made myself and so many people quit the game just too expensive to play and compete with the whales even more so when every month they add a new cash shop p2w method.

Be awesome to see some mir4 files, like what Vyse said I think it could actually be a super fun game if you remove/adjust the massive p2w bias.
This is a chance to be like the original mir2 days when people put up private servers JUST to play and have fun, not to be money motivated.
That being said, its obvious people will monetize them, I'm sure Rogue has made 6 figures if not more which is why they dont want the source out there.
Can't really stop it, even if LOMCN take a stance you'll still get people that break away from it like mir revenge did.

I'm sure I'll get endless replies and digs from the usual suspects, but genuinely would be great to just see something new and different.

I agree anyone that contributes should be rewarded, but lets face it people been trying to pay Far for years for his service he just refuses to take it lol.

Dunno how or if I can help in any way but would love to (when I have time) but seems like all you needs is some dlls?

Actually agree with this. If you don't capitalise on it, someone else definitely will.

That being said, I didn't really like Mir4, the whole set up and the way the game played was awful to me.

Firstly, I would like to praise and thank all the effort put into this project. I've been playing Mir4 since the beginning, and unfortunately, the way the company manages the game, both in terms of format and costs, makes it unfeasible for most people who enjoy it. Many have had to stop playing or now have their dedicated characters relegated to "alts." It's ridiculous to see how Rogue exists today, presumably having made a lot, I mean, a lot of money. I come from the time of the early emulated L2 servers, where I contributed to many free projects for people who just wanted to play and have fun. I really hope you can achieve a result soon to finally break Rogue's monopoly. Greetings to all and good luck.

When you get around to live testing a looking for bugs let me know I'm happy to log in and come do some testing so long as the game stays cash shop light. (I'm talking battlepass, cosmetic, minor buffs, pvp potions, access tickets, all limited in the amount you can buy)

I can also give you a list of things that should be changed to prevent the need for people running bots along with the right stuff to remove from the cash shop. Some of the latest features I'd probably direct you to someone who played the game longer than me like Fleshworkk as he would have a better understanding than me as to what needs to be done with them.

But the reason people run bots even on Rogue is for gathering materials such as Darksteel, Glittering Powder, Life Elixirs, Plants, Ore and so on. Even Rogue hasn't had the common sense to fixs these issues in a way that would render using a bot pointless.

I've known Rogue since it was called Mir4 CN, then they opened Awakening (which was owned by the same owner as ROGUE), so I know what I'm talking about... the Chinese Adm who is the real owner of ROGUE... never paid attention to us here from the Americas, I think this is a mistake, because 90% of those who play mir4 rogue server NA are Brazilians, my intention here is to acquire knowledge to try in the near future to put out a game for everyone, not just focused on money but on the well-being of the players, With hope, I hope you can make the files the best they can be.
