My friends cannot connect to the server...

When my mate tries to connect to my server, he chooses the Server then his mouse turns into a loading symbol, then he gets connection closed.

I've changed the IP's in the files I was told to (the ones you need to change if running on a router), I've allowed ports 7000, 7100, 7200 on both my router and firewall. I can connect to the server fine from the PC the server is running on, it works fine offline aswell. I can also connect on another PC that is connected through the same router.

I've checked, double checked, and checked the IP's again.

I'm not too clever, but i'm pretty sure you have to set your i.p as the server, then give your friends it, but iswell as that, change your ini. files to that I.P, coz' in M2Server you have:
[LoginGate connected:127.0.0.1:5600]
^ to run offline.

You've set the I.Ps to run it offline, i believe.

I used the TD Server Files guide which tells you to change ALOT of ip's, but I was then told because I'm running on a router I only need to change 3 files. So I need to go back and change ALL the ip's running on 7000, 7100, 7200 back to my ip again in ALL the files?

Ok, the server is fully connected;

But my friend is still unable to load the login screen. He times out and gets 'Connection Closed' before the login screen appears.

I really need help with this, been trying to get it online for like 3 days now. I can't find any threads on the forum that help with this problem.

Please, if anyone has any ideas on what the problem might be, let me know.

make sure he has the right wan ip in the servers.ini
the same client as yourself also


also looks to me like you are rtunning the files as offline and setup only for internal play ie you and any other pc that you have connected to your router and network..

there are 3 ips that are needed to be changed from internal only and for the life of me i cant think what they are especially after half c crate of stella this evening .
