hi all,
most people wont remember me, i was really into the server files ages ago like 1.4 time but i went back to euro mir and eventually to wow. anyways i was bored when i came in from work tonight and thought ill check out a few sites, which brought me back here
i was spkin to an r/l mate of mine and he said somethin bout the source code for mir 2.3 goin on a public server ??
i was playin RZ beta server tonight and im very impressed with how much it has! i even got to see blizzard spell for the first time
soooo....
few questions,
can someone gimmie an overview of whats happened with this burst in source coding?
on this new server what does and doesnt work?
how/where do i get the files for it? i only needed to put an exe and ini file into my euro mir folder to get it goin so im guessin i dont need a specialist client :P
also, ive asked amate of mine who has a dedicated server if i could maybe host one for me (yes i know i dont have a clue about these new files but i want to learn more about them and hopefully get into them and maybe get some good releases going in the future) also this means besides testing stuff, i could get a server on the go.
however he wants to know how much CPU, Memory and bandwidth usage the server uses, he said for 100 people but i doubt there'd be that many people pouring onto the server at one time, at least not to begin with lol
if anyone could gimmie any info itd be much appreciated
