Heroes Need Help Setting Up A Server Please!!!!

Is There An Up To Date Guide On How To Set Up A Server Please??? All Last Nyt I Tried Getting It Going But Was Coming Up Connection Closed . I Believe I Did Everything Needed From The Old Guides. Please Help!! A Video Tutorial Wud Be Great If Sum1 Was Able To Do This. Old Ones Dont Work Now. Thanks.

did you open your ports ?

are all the IP's correct as this is the main issue for this problem

i believe i opened the ports yes as googled on how to do it as my D-link was different to others. and with the ip's i followed the guide which told u were to put external ip in the correct files etc etc .

this is wot i had to use to try open ports ADD VIRTUAL SERVER RULES

yes but when u open your ports

call it somthing like "Mir ports" and the make sure 7000 7100 and 7200

A game or application is made of one or more TCP/UDP port ranges. Each incoming port range can be translated into a different internal (local network) port range. Port ranges can be statically assigned to devices or dynamically assigned using an outgoing trigger.

after you have made sure they are looking like this

you will have to recheck all the ips in your Mir Server Folder.

And make Sure you right click mir exe and m2server and run as Administrator

plus right click go to Properties

go to Compatibility

Tick the Box Run this program in the compatibility for - *your OS*

Then tick box at bottom saying Run this program as an Administrator

should all work nice from then on m8

just quick all wot u sed about ports then how i meant to do it like tht wen all i got is this

put the "Name" as MIR PORTS

then leave internal ip

type 7000 internal start port and 7000 in the other 3 "End,Start,End"

leave TCP

and then make another 2 with ports open to 7100 and 7200 and this should work.

can you use the files offline?
What files r you using heroes?

yea hero files. ive unzip the client, added the 2 patches. wen i click client exe loads but then says connection closed

just to double check..... this is all i need to change in my mir files wot this says


You only need to change 4 IP's to your external IP to get it set up for online

In /Dbserver/!serverinfo.txt
127.0.0.1 EXTERNALIP 7200


In /Loginsrv/!addrtable.txt
LOMCN LOMCN 127.0.0.1 EXTERNALIP EXTERNALIP:7100

In /mir200/!RunAddr.txt
EXTERNALIP

and the external ip is the one u get from ipchicken site?
