Right ive been asked to design a network topology for this:

Ground floor
It consists of the following:
• One 120 seat call center
• One 40 seat IT office
• Two 20 seat offices
• One 3 seat reception office
• One 3 seat technicians office
First floor
It consists of the following:
• One 80 seat support office
• Three meeting rooms - one computer per room
• Five 3 seat offices
• Two 4 seat offices
• Fifteen 2 seat offices
Second floor
This floor is a mix of management and meeting rooms. It consists of the following:
• Five 1 seat offices
• One 4 seat office
• Five meeting rooms - one computer per room

I know about different topologies and the strengths and weaknesses of each, but ive got no idea where to even start with a scenario that big... can anyone give me any tips?

Start at the top of your list and work through it seems like a good plan to me :P

You make the big bucks?

Pretty sure it'll be for a school assignment. No company would ask someone who doesn't really know what they're doing to design an entire network topology of this size.

I'd start from where your main router and firewall is located, then spread out from there. Don't forget you'll want access points in a design that size.

Was for a University assignment, I can't stand networking... wish i hadn't selected it as a module, I got the basic topology sorted now he wants to to use nsbench to test different protcols and try to find the most reliable and robust network -.- cba
