Npc not working

for sum reason, i get all the items in my bag try to create gem...i have spelt all item names right but

it wont give me gem and says u dont have correct items

the part of the npc code that isnt working is

checkitem <item> <amount>

i.e checkitem CraftPotions 5

and so on....
