Oh dear?

I've just tried downloading something from a chinese site.. cancelled it and then AVG told me it found a trojan horse in my temp internet folder or sumin

Anywayz I tried pressing heal - Wouldn't work Delete file - Wouldn't Work Send To Vault - Wouldn't Work... Now I just saw a process called wuauclt.exe

I searched it on google followed instructions on how to remove as it is a trojan but when I looked in registry it was gone... ( Also gone from processes )

When I try to delete the file that was being downloaded it says it's in use I tried restarting my comp and still it said it was in use..

Any help would be much appreciated

Ya. Start in Safe Mode, delete it, and run a full system scan using your anti-virus program. That should fix it.

Wuauclt.exe is a process managing automatic updates for Windows. This process continuously checks for the latest updates by going online. This process should not be removed if you want to get informed about new updates.

Dont know where you got the info that its a trojan... lol

What... Look that exe aint a bad exe all is does is automatically download windows updates which keep your XP up to date

some people shldnt be allowed near computers tbh lol. smilo is right. if you want proof, get a propper virus checker which isnt free.

I just booted up comp in safe mode attempted to delete the file but it still said it was in use by a person or programme

ctrl alt delete. see if you can find the program running there, if it is, end its process. if you cant, log on as someone else and delete it from there.

Why do you want to delete it???

BTW. just to let you know, AVG picks everything up (even if it only has a veery small suspicion that a file is a virus it still picks it up) hence why some people have experienced problems downloading the 1.9 emulator files, as AVG sometimes picks up the 3in1.exe as a trojan horse.

If you want to delete stuff, but please keep in mind, i wouldnt suggest you deleting anything if you dont know what you are doing.
