did I? :)

I don't recommend ms lookback.

I recommended putting your static up along with your lan ip. then on the other computer put the static ip + 1 along with its lan ip.

this is pretty good if you have a static ip. if it's dynamic, you will have to update it!.

I'm trying to figure out if this would work for me. I've tried it but so far not working. So basically, what your saying is put a different IP in the alternate settings for ip addresses?

Ok I've gone to my network adaptor, right clicked and gone to status, hit properties, scrolled down to TCP/IP settings, hit properties for that, clicked on alternate configuration and changed the IP's in there, on Server PC put Net ip as alternate, on 2nd pc put net ip+1, as described here:

Code:
you don't need to use loopback...

you can try...
if your IP is pretty static...
in your tcpip setting of the normal nic.
you have something like...
192.168.1.2
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.1

then goto advance, you can add another IP under
IP addresses
192.168.1.2
90.194.186.123 (example)

keep gateway the same 192.168.1.1

on the other computer do the same thing...
192.168.1.3
90.194.186.124

now your lan computer should be able to communicate with your server with 90.194.186.123

So... after doing all that, i still cant connect to my server on LAN.
