Random shutdowns

Hi, there just recently my computer has started randomly resetting itself sometimes it can be fine for hours and not do it at all but other times it can restart 3 times within 15 minutes i have checked for virus' and not found any so i dont know what else to do could someone help me please?

not sure how old your pc is but may have cpu over heating could try cleaning fans nomal if over heat most motherboads nomal get high pitch beeps warning depends if set in bossi and some motherboard if cpu gets to hot it closes down when hit max temp that in bossi ,have try see ,have good clean round fans , dust not good just help heat it up

By shutdowns do you mean it turns its self off like windows would normaly shutdown or like it has just been unpluged and goes off instantly?

It just turns off instantly and then restarts itself back up and i dont think its a dust problem as ive cleaned it out and its not very old anyway

same as you get if over heating or cpu fault look boss see what temp say when it turn off see what say temp at.

remind me of a friend pc doing same, it been sent back about 10 time t,o makes me sick say it timepcs after 6 months in end he dumped it on there desk and said not pay for it
after 2 month he got call saying it had been fixed and can come get it .it was cpu fault ,cos he did not get back wont worth it then , what you saying same as he get at that time.

had same trouble with my old pc.. the fan couldent handle it.. it kept shutting down moved it in cooler spots and tested with 6fans blowing on it and it dident go off for a day or two.. its ur fan it is and the area it might be in is hot aswell.

have you thought CPU may Overheat ? Motherboard, chipset, ram's, harddisk, try adding some more fans to ur case.
