Recommended Antivirus

What anti virus programme is everyone using?

Also what spyware etc.

Just bought a new pc and Norton is crap and not gonna pay for a programme that i feel is below par.

I'm currently using Symantec Corporate, can't really fault it tbh..

As for Spyware etc I use XoftSpySE & Ad-Aware Pro.

kaspersky is best ive found. just happily runs in the background.

on my vista machine i dont have anything.

why wont microsoft release an antivirus program? they'd make a fortune.

Nod32, Ad-Aware/Ad-Watch & PeerGuardian

All I use for total pc protection, and the Windows Firewall ofc :P

Mine are paid for but you can get them cracked easy.

AVG isn't one of the best, but it doesn't suck resources and it doesn't annoy me constantly about letting new things run etc.

Does my head in only because like, if i download a program or file and its a 'virus' but i know it isnt, its options are either, delete, virus chest or keep or ignore or something, but it doesn't ignore it keeps popping up

i had to quote as i wud of said the same, also with windows firewall limit down to what has access going thru firewall like MSN, etc iv never had a virus with the 3 years this laptops been running, just look at what your downloading before you download it (check things like the file types) when downloading as ppl have downloaded a .exe and .jpeg as a music file b4 now.

btw download AVG pro and crack it

tbh if ur watching wot u downloading then you dont need 1, all it pickes up is cookies from IE (if u even use it that is) stick to the sites u know and ur fine, set IE to not save the cookies and thats ok, theres nothin more antivirus stuff does really,

Kaspersky V7 is the best runs smoothly in the back ground where as Norton Takes too much space on hard drive & makes PC laggy tbh

So Kaspersky Is the best !

iv used onecare for a few days now, and cant fault it. seems like one of microsofts better products.

finds viruses (i think, havnt had any yet)
tweaks your pc to make it run faster (auto defrag every month etc)
makes easy backups and better system restore points

+ for once its a m$ product which hasnt asked me to install 100 toolbars and sign up to porn.
