just a quick question, back when you had to to pay $$$ for a 10 gig drive i had been through 3 seagate drives as they had some really big issues with stability and always crashing. would just like to know if anyone has had problems with the newer 100g + ones as they are quite cheap (which also makes me think twice) feedback would be great thanks

All HDDs are cheap now, although Seagate are always more expensive compared to, say, a Maxtor. (interesting, since they're now the same company).
Personally i've never had any issues.

Seagate are good Hard drives i think. I payed 20quid for a 40gb one which wasnt too bad at the time :P

The newr ones are usually much more stable and that though.

I've had 3 maxtor drives fail this year, so they don't get my vote. My 300gb Seagate has had 2 years constand hammering and it still works perfectly fine, it's now used as an external backup drive *Touch wood I don't drop it* :)
