ok

OK I ran it with all 192.168.1.100 then went into the loginsrvr and made the public 24.1.63.167 and the gate to 24.1.63.167:7100 and it says well started now. can you try it again.

Thanks,

Same error when connecting with ServerCount (port 3000): "Error: Connection is forcefully rejected"

However my MIR2 client was able to connect to you fine :) - (which means EI users should be able to aswell).

However try forward Port 3000 to the Server (192.168.1.100) to enable user counting.

OK got port 7000 opened to 192.168.1.100 and port 3000 to 192.168.1.100

I went through the router setup guide from another fourm but I got that error on the loginsrvr but all I did now was launch it with 192.168.1.100 and then change the gate and public in loginsrvr to 24.1.63.167 and opened up the ports now...I have no Firewall on now (Shutters) try it again please I appreciate you helping me on this....All my friends dont want to take the time to download the 1 gig client!!! HA

Ok give it a try now.

Well I managed to login and make a character using my Mir2 client (dont have Mir3). Once I pressed 'Start' the screen remained. Weather this is because of my client being Mir2, or a bad IP setup on the server is beyond me without M3 installed.

Well I think we are ok then...If someone has a Mir 3 client can you please try to make a character and connect to the server then I will know for sure if it works. Everything looks right now. With Leo's help I got the router part figured out. But now I need to know if the gameserver will alllow a connection with a mir 3 client.

Please let me know I will create another account called:

tester2
tester2

thanks,

I hope to have a public server up soon!!!!

Ok I have opened up ports 7000-8000 hoping to catch the one that is blocking it...I thought that setting the router to DMZ would open all ports but I guess not. Any other ports I might need to open? I have everything setup the way the instructions say to ...it works great on LAN. I even set my client to the 24.1.63.167 and it connected ok. HMMMM any suggestions?

Leocrasher was able to get in with his mir2 client and create a character. That is strange? When does it give you the connection refused error? If he can get in to create a character then someone is getting in.
