your 8mb line must suck really badly.

i got mir2.0 client in 10mins on a 2mb line, thats with getright

r u sure u actually used getright and flashget properly? with segmented downloads etc.

The speed depends on the host aswell..

Generaly all downloaders keep around the same speed and i know i can run to my full speed of 2mb with GetRight constantly on some downloads yet on others i have to connect 4 times to get to full speed.

This will have no change on anyone likes what they'v chosen and know it works as good as any other..

All download managers do the same thing. There isnt really such thing as "speed boost", and if there is, then there isnt much difference in download speeds. It depends on the host, your connection & isps bandwith usuage at that point in time.

Those times are wayyy too off, especially for an 8 mbit line.

I suppose either your line had quality issues during the test, the host's connection to you was not constant and stable for all 3, or a combination of those and whatever else.

Flashget is my favorite. Most downloading programs are basically the same in terms of performance, MOSTLY. It really get's down to interface and spyware and all the other crap.
