i recently learned that if i am writing in the start -> run: netstat -a
it will give me all the network activity, now i am not quite sure about it, but do u think this function is any good to detect key loggers, spy wares ect? i don't have usually time to run a full scan on the entire computer online (as this is the only scan i trust), and i dont know much about this function, so can anyone tell me about it?
i am aware of the fact that all those viruses send information only at a specific time, but if i am letting it work for a little time, and try to put some sort of password on some place, then should it be able to detect it?

The only time the netstat program would be of any use for the purpose you describe, would be if you knew each and every connection your system is supposed to have open at the current time (current time, as you say - being a problem for intrusion detection).

A software application firewall such as ZoneAlarm would be much more apt for your purpose.
