Usually they barely help, and from what ive heard all they pretty much do is unload .dll's from memory.

I had that, it didnt really make any difference for me, it just spared a little bit of RAM at times when i wanted it to, but no difference is really made.....

I dont have a p1 dinosaur, but you dont see me restarting more than once or twice a week. My desktop restarts about once a week when it gets un bareably slow or something is forcing me to restart (windows update usually)
----
This lack of restarting is mainly due to laziness, but my roaming profile takes 15 mins to upload/download from my server

I was just wondering why does my PC usually turn quite slow after about a week without a restart... I have set it so that windows is forced to unload .dll's from memory... Doesn't bother me really as restarting doesn't take long but i'm just curious.

Also, my PC is usually working on 100% CPU and RAM usage, about 15 hours a day (the time i'm not on the PC). Can it in any way mess anything up like the processor blowing up or something like that :P?

The CD's are COMPLETELY free?? I don't have to pay for anything? Just pick them up at the post office? Or do they even get mailed to your post box lol?

Yes, but they have really great marketing, and primarily I'm a consumer which means marketing 1, actual product quality 2. Now shush and go back to fedora!
pfft, fedora sucks! RH9 > * (ok slackware is ok)
I aint actualyl seen any marketing for ubuntu, but i know its debian based, which puts me right off!

I don't reckon it would be worth getting ubuntu for the simple reason not everything i do with a comp is compatible eg. some games i play.

ps. I love hearing admins spamming <3 ;)
