Trying to get a forum

Ok im trying to get a forum up and running online but for some reason i get this message when trying to install it

vBulletin 4.0.5 requires that the MySQL functions in PHP be available. Please ask your host to enable this.

they dont seem to have sql enabled for your webspace.

host as in the company where you rent your webspace.

had to phone them, i got the MS SQL server not the My SQL ¬__¬ so got to switch packages in 30 days ¬_¬
