Hi, anyone knows where I could get a windows server 2008 R2?
I want try it for make LOM3 server (3.55).

Hi Yolom,
I've been playing about with server builds and the server files for a couple of days now (As can't really find a decent server to play and it seems easy enough to learn) and I've found the following out so far, so I hope this helps.

1. Server 2003 Standard & Datacentre SP2: Works fine with the holley 3.55 files, though did take me a good few attempts to change the hardware id using trial reset. But I did get the files working with sql 2000, but had issues with trying to get them to work with sql 2005(installation of sql 2005 is a bit tricky to install on 2003 & did take some registry edits and system tweaks to finally get it working).
2. Server 2008 R1: Managed to change the hardware id after about an hour trying, however sql 2000 doesn't work in server 2008, as it's unsupported and so you can only install sql 2005 and I've not got the files to work on sql 2005 (if anyone has, could you please let me know)

I've not yet tried the king files yet, but from reading about them on here and else where, they will work on server 2003 & 2008, though I will be testing this out over the next few days. However if you still want a copy of server 2008, you might want to try this - Server 2008 Enterprise or Server 2008 R2 - I hope this helps!

I think you're right. In Windows 2008 R2 may not go, because it makes it a good time and I had tried worked, now I just wanted to check. Without further proves with Windows 2003 R2 Enterprise x32bits.
