If you had the following yes

◘ Bosses in every cave... (seems alot.. but makes every cave have a purpose..)
◘ Rares - which are actually RARE!! (zomg that would be scary)
◘ Quests - Gotta have them, allow people to do things other then level like a baboon 24/7.
◘ Refining / Crafting - Give them a purpose... refining and crafting is fun, just dont use stackable items to craft.
◘ Kits which arnt every 5,10,15 or 20 levels... no skill atall there, abit of variety would be nice.
◘ NO PET NPC! Pet npc ruin the point of tao's pets, which links to next point
◘ Balanaced classes... this means balance them, not give them all icestorm, magic shield and XHM and leave as that. Also cap curse and psn if the stats are going to be very high.. as ye curse for 52 seconds is fun :P but rather stupid.

I would aim to introduce the following:

*Rare rares - Have items which are actually worth hunting for. Create alternative items like better statted protection rings etc.

*Bosses and Sub Bosses - Instead of having to forage to KR to have anything worth while, i shall add sub bosses which have the possibility of spawning on each floor. These sub bosses will spawn as normal mobs and drop worthwhile items

*New and duplicated maps - We all know how it is. We find a top leveling spot and then it gets camped to death. This will change as i will add duplicates of caves which will considerably add to the volume mobs available to level on.

*Additional Kings Rooms - Along with adding duplicate levelling caves i will add duplicate Kings Rooms. All of these will appear the same as so people have no preference but they will all drop differently and randomly. There will for example be 3 WTKR on the 3 WT maps. One will drop normally and the others will drop less well. These will be rerranged on weekly cycles and will hopefully mean people will have greater variations to their hunts.

*Orbs and Gems - As seen on other servers i shall change the orbs and gems proccess. I will introduce the now standard differencial orbs and gems with progressional success rates.

*Quests - A series of interesting quests will be added to the server in the hope of lessening the gripe of the daily grind. These quests will also help you acheive levels by rewarding exp and also items and gold. A mamoth quest of infinite proportion is planned, a quest which may never be completed to its fullest. May seem pointless however it will one day bear its fruit.

*Increased spawns = Spawn rate will greatly be enhanced to enable a smooth leveling processs.

* New items - A completely vast array of new items planned, however there will be none of this kit every 5 levels business.

Above are just a few ideas i have planned.

What mir needs is a storyline oriented server.
That allows players to follow the storyline ingame through quests, maps, monsters and challenges. Incorporating multi-purpose hunting areas. Item balance. Worthwhile drops.

I like duplicate cave idea.. maybe if you really wanted you could make one cave a non pk and one a pk, for all the little cry babies who go " I DONT LIKE BEING PKED!! THIS SERVER SUCKS" But just make spwans in that cave slightly lower? Just to offer it as an alternative? Sounds abit like a crap idea but could be good, if worked out properly i spoze. (ps. i dont mind pking its fun =D)

Another idea ill pm it to you, as by time you get server online somebody coulda pikey'ed and it is good.

Id play, i enjoy Low and medium servers alot more than high!!!

And Smavid, The idea about the pk/non pk cave is pretty smoooooth.

Another idea ill pm it to you, as by time you get server online somebody coulda pikey'ed and it is good.

Personally i think that idea sucks, pking is apart of the game why seperate it =/.

Ye but its for those noobs who cry "I DNT LIKE PKING" maybe just have it on lower caves? just to allow people to start the game. Then after like 40, or 30 remove the "non pking" half of a temple, and ust make it and identical duplicate. I totally agree pking is part og game, but there are peeps who wanna play non pking servers, sho it shouldnt be ruled out.

If they dont like it then its simple, mir just isnt the game for them lol. I'd rather not have a bunch of carebears on a server who just whine all the time over being killed. Maybe im to biased since all i did during my time on mir was fight, but i was once that noob who got pk'd.

It all sounds good so far. As a seasoned mir player (I started in '98 with the beta test of the original LoM2: Three Heroes) the only things I'm looking for are:

1 - Good Community. PK'ing IS a part of the game, it's up to the individual player as to whether they wish to PK or not. (Although it is HIGHLY annoying to get PK'ed right as you're about to kill a Boss single handed. Losing the boss drop and your own items. I believe this is covered under the individual server rules governing grief play.). But what I would really like to see is Higher Level characters actively helping lower level characters, and not just levelling up their "Friends" to increase the size of their guild. I've taken a few characters to level 30 on various servers recently, and left all of them due to the lack of a community (levelling alone is a long and boring propect!!)

2 - Opportunities for Group and Guild hunting. Bosses should always be harder to kill than the standard mobs around them (not that I need to explain this you many players). A lot of servers I've seen these days include some items that severely over power a character, enabling a level 20 Char to destroy WoomaTaurus (WT) solo. I can remember some old servers (I am purposely withholding server names) that required a combined total of at least 100 levels (aka 5 @ lvl 20) to beat WT let alone ZumaTaurus (ZT). Without the inclusion of extremely hard bosses, group hunting is a thing of the past.

3- A fair donation system (if used). I understand that servers require upkeep, and that in most cases this upkeep can be expensive. But do you really have to gather $2000 a month when the server costs are $50 a month?? (!Only an Example!) What makes these servers worse, however, is the inclusion of "Donation" items, specialised items that are only available to donators and can severely overpower them as a result. Other servers (not many thankfully), even give you an option of "Buying Experience". Why?? This too destroys the fun.

4- Clones, Tao pets and Wizard Taming Clones are essentially not needed. They reduce the need for group interaction. Why have a Tao when you have a Healer? Why hunt in a group when a Warrior's Clone can solo most bosses?? Wizard's have the Electric Shock (or Taming) skill, if you are putting in Wizard Pets, remove this spell. The balance of power needs to be readdressed in the world of Mir today. The wizard can buy 5 pets, but the Tao can only summon one? and don't even get me started on the cowardly Skeleton Familiar!! The removal of Wizard pets (with the exception of those tamed) and Warrior clones would restore the balance into the game and help prevent Warriors and Wizards power-levelling. Either this, or just remove the Tao completely. Poor guy, he's gone from being the most sort after group component to the most useless class in the game. Until you get Shinsu, and sometimes even then.

So, basically (and yes, this could have been shorter, but I'm in a ranting mood today) if you could guarantee a FAIR server with no additional in-game bonuses for Donations, a server with bosses of sufficiently deadly effect that you would need a mixed group of characters, and a server that will welcome new players, offer help/advice to new players then Yes. I'd be all over it like a rash on a skank!!!

i dont see how pking a lvl 7 is fun, its just annoying when you're trying to level.
