AMD is a far better chip than Intel, especially now with the Phenom and Bulldozer they both run at a high chip core than the equivalent Intel.
The AMD core 2 chips are crap compared to the Intel, as AMD screwed up when they designed it. But when they released the Quad and the Oct chips, the core structure is x4 better than the Intel.
