[2.3] 2.3 on Win8 problem with DBServer

Guys,

asking help even though the idea of running 2.3 on Win8 is quite useless, i just wanted to try anyway

so this is how far i got to now.

mirserver setup
installed sql 2012 express with management studio
imported the db in mir2
configured all the ini's

everything is booting fine, infact also m2server boots correctly but dbserver doesnt.

it says:
TFrmDBSrv.starttimer

which causes a spam in the m2server saying that the dbserver has connected every few seconds..

i know this issue regards a problem in connecting to the sql server but the dbsrc.ini looks correct to me:

SQLType=mssql
SQLHost=LUX666PC\SQLEXPRESS
SQLPort=3306
SQLDatabase=mir2
SQLUsername=sa
SQLPassword=password

as a matter of fact i got the same settings in the !setup.txt and they work fine, i can read and load the the db tables without issues..

any idea?

I had the same problem but on windows 7 the problem is sql 2012 i unninstal it and instal 2005 and all workd fine

SQL 2012 isnt compatible with the server files never seems to work >.>
