I'm interested in seeing other people from this forum's benchmark results for comparing performance and things, However I'm not sure what the best benchmark program to suggest is, anyone got any ideas? I've got 3DMark 06 but can't really expect everyone to have that/upload that file since it's 580mb. Anyone got any suggestions of good small benchmark programs?

Thanks for that Kaori. Hope a few people can post theirs now. Will start the ball rolling, I just downloaded it installed and ran the test on all default settings and got this:

Whenever you show a 3DMark output always show the "Details" too ;)

And remember, benchmarks are synthetic, you're just comparing the size of your ePenis.

Although I have to say my ePenis is quite large and very satisfying to play with.

I don't have my PC any more, but my Pentium D945 (dual core 3.4) and X1900XT scored about 11,000 in 3DMark 06 in performance mode

Mines the 512mb X1900XT, I see you have a better processor than me though, I wanted the E6600 but it cost too much for me :(

Sean is that system overclocked?

I am running 7900GTX SLi.
You'd be silly (at this time) to get Quad SLi. The reason? DirectX 10.
All current graphics cards do not have the hardware compability to run DirectX 10, therefore to use DirectX 10 games you will need a new graphics card.
With DirectX 10 and DirectX 10 hardware on the horizon why spend £700 on out-of-date goods? Makes no sense ;)

Unless you have an incredibly expensive high-res CRT, then two 7950's is a waste of money. If you have an incredibly expensive high-res CRT, then two 7950's is a waste of money. Considering crossfire is cheaper and the performance difference is negligible, I'd stay away from quad sli. And until next year, I'd stay away from anything dual/quad core in general.

And even at extreme resolutions that your monitor can't handle, it's still not even close to 100% better than a single 7950.

Just did a slight overclock on my processor to bump up my score, they're right about the e6400 being easy to overclock, not sure i'll leave it like it though just incase. Here's the results:

Interesting how my SLI system falls behind your single card on test 1!
Although I kick your ass with test 3 :P

Wish i could afford to set up the crossfire on my computer, just that second crossfire card would cost loads, guess I'll have to just cope for now :(

Interesting also that my processor scored higher in my second test with that overclock than Kaori with his e6600, during the benchmarks i was watching the temperature of my processor, when idle it's about 38/39c then during the tests it was getting to about 60, seems quite good to me considering it went from 2.1ghz to just over 3ghz on the standard cooling.

Btw this was my results before the overclock:

It should be I'd imagine, but I don't really knwo what I did lol, just followed this guide: http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/forums.asp?s=2&c=6&t=10706

I actually have the ds4 and slightly better ram than it suggested (did 4-4-4-12 instead of the 5-5-5 but I think i could probably go further again, don't want to risk since i don't know much. Should search around see if there's any simple guides for your motherboard/processor.
