A friend of mine requires a spec for a £200-£300 (maximum) machine primarily used for games. I've given her a fair bit of advice and we've come up with a rough spec but I'd prefer it if one of you all could put a recommended list together...(yeah hi urban, lol) A case isnt neccessarily required as we may salvage the atx one from her old system.

Thanks.

change to the other forum theme n maybe u'll see that uve got a few px white outline round the feather than needs trimming and blurring. im flattered u liked my idea so much though.

oh and bk on topic i recommended a 3200+ bundle. 1024mb ram, pci-e mobo and GeFroce 7300GS 256mb gfx card. All under £240.

The case, psu, hdds, monitor, keyboard and mouse are all being salvaged from older systems as there's nothing wrong with them.

urban will probably tell you to wait until Conroe is released anyway.

Plus I'd change the graphics card but that's me .

well yeah ideally id tell her to wait but fact is she needs a machine now. the gfx card was a tricky choice. still not 100% about it but it'll do imho.

Just shut up, you dunno what you're on about.

7200* RPM is what most people buy.

10000 RPM is the faster HDD.

£165 for a 160GB HDD is a rip off.
