can a dos attack on effect

one file on a mir server as recently a server was still playable but the item db got wiped some how but u could still play the game freely and tele and attack use skills ect ect

oh and we were given to excuses for this one was a gm ****ed db other was there was a DoS attack

always fought dos was denial of service thwe game was only made unplayable not deleting items

yes, denial of service attacks don't remove any data - they simply bombard the host with connection requests, stopping anyone else from being able to connect.

proved wrong how? db wipe due to a dos attack was wrong we could still play and log in and out fine
