Can TD 2.3 read data.mdb?

Hi..

just wanted to know if it possibly to set TD's files to read the data.mdb files inside the Envir folder and not use SQL..

can someone explain how?

you can, but I believe if you do only 3 people can connect.

db server is Sql the m2 and dbserver are coded to read from there

it has no code to save char info to data.mdb

Im sure it was possible via changing the setup txt to SQL=0 or whatever it is, Not 100% sure on this but before td got his hands on them they was ran via access i beleive.

Why not just use Access and then import into SQL?

tested out a mixed version of the files with data.mdb and works but after some time crashes so i will import every table into sql which seems to speed up also my m2server.. especially in the mogen..

well i had already all the info stored into the mdb since i was working with the 2.6 server files but they are really a bit buggy and 2.3 seem a better set for having more and stable fun with.. since i was having problems importing i exported the mdb tables into txt files with delimited fields and imported them using sql onto the tables which i already had, i just had to drop and recreate.. i might explain how i did this if anyone is interested..
