can't log in (dm2)

Abit of dm2 help please

Ok, so i managed to find the downloads i needed, i used the lomcn_dm2 files i think, i then put the realise files into c:/mirserver. I then moved all my euro mir files into c:/mirserver/Mir2 and changed the ini's to the ip and changed server name to ktest. I also used the exe that was already in there. I then started putting up all the gates, i didnt know what order to put them up in so i used a 1.9 guide, however there is no gamegate in these files only a RunGate, so i put that up in its place. Now i managed to create a char and almost log in, how ever it stops where the notice should come up... Where have i gone wrong?

Help would be very much appreciated.

Also, where do i find the file containing GM's?

Can you please post screenshots of all your gates (on same screen)

The admin list is in the data.mdb (presuming yous using access)

the three "kick off" on the SelGate is where i tryed to log in and i had forgot to load the DBserver

and atm im not using accsess or sql, im am going to download sql in a min and try learn about it. Any recomended guides?

your m2server isnt loaded
look at the errors there and fix them
untill you do your gamegate (rungate) wont show --][-- (atm it shows -] [- at the bottom if you look which means it's disconnected)
since your not really running a mir server atm the selchar gate cant send ppl trying to connect to the mir server (since there is none)

make sure the map files are in /map/(or w/e it is) of the DM2 folder

Your maps are not into ur server files need to add maps into ur server files

Ok thanks, its working now, but i cant edit the gm list as i dont have access or SQL atm, im going to learn them later, can anyone tell me if theres a default admin name for 2.3?

in M2Server, click view>lists>Admin List>Change delete all the people in there, add your char name, level 10, and 127.0.0.1 as ur ip

you add the maps to the client folder and also to the map folder within the server files if they are needed in there anyway.

Go into the database and change the datatype of FLD_LIGHT in TBL_STDITEMS to "int" or "smallint"

the whole item database seems to be ****** up so am gna download a new fresh one

you need the text file decoitem in your files, deco item is for the guild teratories, (the monster images) that you can have in there, iam sure someone posted about this only about 2 weeks ago search for decoitem

save it as DecoItem.txt and put it in the envir folder in the server files

Bah am a noob, was in the data folder n not the server files thanks for help guys
