Clear this up please

I know iceman reg server is down and now we all use Riona2k3's (213.40.160.123) but i have a few questions. I have changed the reg settings in mir200>setup and in dbserver>dbsrc and yet it still doesnt work. I login> char select> start and then black screening still!

1. If i want to play my server offline can i enter 127.0.0.1 in as the ip? Like

Key=testfsdmir2
IP=127.0.0.1
ServerAddr=213.40.160.123
ServerPort=60320

or is it best to just change all the ips in the server files and the ip in the reg to mine?

2. Do i have to run 3in1.exe or will it work with out? and if i do what order do i start it in?

3. I am on windows 98 for the server computer i dont need unpnp?

Only change the reg ip at the bottom of !setup.txt

all the rest of the ip's in the server files should be 127.0.0.1 (unless you want it online)

if you put riona's ip in the reg in the !setup then you dont need to run 3in1

Still use unpnp just incase

the reg in !setup should look like this

Key=testfsdmir2
IP=127.0.0.1
ServerAddr=213.40.160.123
ServerPort=60320

ok ill get unpnp anyways so I just make sure the ip in reg bit in setup text in mir200 is the same as

Key=testfsdmir2
IP=127.0.0.1
ServerAddr=213.40.160.123
ServerPort=60320

and it should work.

Im sure ive tried this 100's of times :S anything else it could be?

have you downloaded the all setup files?

if not and this dosnt work just use them

nvm that abit above it should work at work at the moment so ill try when i get home.

Also if i set it up on he 127.0.0.1 ip and my other networked computer wanted to connect would it work?


internet -----> mir server ----------> other computer


would i be able to play it on the 'other computer' too?

you might have to use your lan ip for that
