This error has now been fixed;

How I fixed it;

This was my sound drivers as mStation said.
I had disabled my Audo drivers accidentally when tweaking my PC for mir.
I had also needed to update the driver.

Problem is now fixed.

even though this "sounds" stupid.. but do you have audio drivers installed ?

i can't see the error exactly but i guess it says "Access violation at address (number)" and changes the number each time..

if so, check if you have an audio card installed physically in the PC, could be integrated (which means you can see stereo head jacks right under mouse keyboard and usb connector behind the pc) or it could be installed as pci which means the stereo head jacks will be on the lower part of the pc.

if you have a card installed then, windows xp hasn't installed automatically it's drivers and you should find out what drivers you need.

if you need extra help just ask but there are some applications which could help you in this process if you aren't very good at it. like http://www.iobit.com/driver-booster.php

edit: btw if you don't have a sound card installed you might probably have some pair of nice headphone which have also the mic which probably are USB.. then just place those in the pc and mir will use that as audio output
