dbsvr.exe closing randomly

I feel this issue should be moved onto a single thread as quite alot of people are getting it

And before all the smart people step in and say 'you've not done this' yes I've setup sql + files over 5 times and still same error, i guess it's something to do with the way we have windows setup.

People who have this error post please and above all anyone who has a solution please share!

Are you using the files milo posted or the files VCKele posted?

Farphit... even if you have only login server up and play it and then play dbserver I get that error, don't think rungate has nothing to do with it

I can tell you it dosen't do this on Windows Server 2003 R2 with it fully updated, bit strange. Bloody microsoft products lol

No man, I've tried it on another machine still same error.

I've also reformatted, installed only mobo drivers + gfx drivers and setup the files from there, still same error

Well, I get same error on both machines, 1 machine has XP pro SP1, the other has XP home SP2, so i highly doubt service pack takes a huge part in it

Edit: unpnp has nothing to do with it also

Should check your windows Manage error applications info, that gives some details.
