Just wiped off all my old server stuff and started fresh from A3G10PtestNF1.1_05-04-07.rar

Restored all the DBs and tables.
Setup all the DSNs with names like 'Game3g' instead.
Changed all my inis with my IP address and the sa passwords

Went to start DBSvr!

What's the message ' The system cannot find the file specified ' mean again?.

Coz I been in every ini and all my db tables 30 times to check if I missed an IP address out somewhere!

Arrrrgh, I bet it's something silly I've missed coz I'm tired. :flush:

make sure you didn't do something wrong in ur system dns. Otherwise things have to be spelled correctly as the db says so. If the db was game3g you type up game3g, no caps or extras.

Double checked everything and still cant find the issue.

Anyone any ideas or can list the things that would cause this so I can concentrate my search.

it's looking for mapinfo.txt
check the path of that file... and put it in the config section of dbsrv... c:\whatever\whatever\envir\

I had a feeling the Map directory was missing a file other than just the maps.
