Connected to 192.168.2.2:7010.
Cannot connect to 81.203.53.229:7010.
Connected to 81.203.53.229:7010 from outside.
---------- Login Server (check server) ----------
Cannot connect to 192.168.2.2:3000.
Cannot connect to 81.203.53.229:3000.
Cannot connect to 81.203.53.229:3000 from outside.
---------- Login Server (for login gate) ----------
Cannot connect to 192.168.2.2:5500.
Cannot connect to 81.203.53.229:5500.

---------- Login Server (for db/game server) ----------
Cannot connect to 192.168.2.2:5600.

first line means server is up.
second line means your router doesn't support loopback. (you can't connect within LAN)
third line means your friends can connect from outside.

anyway... you have to setup loopback or get a router that supports loopback...

if the second line said "Cannot connect", it means you can't use public ip to connect in the lan

I've got this same problem. Can't connect with public or lan ip from my other pc when server is live.

says same as always, cannot connect from outside which i know, but how i fix it? tried loopback and still wont work

cannot connect from outside has nothing to do with loopback.

check windows firewall (turn off to test if needed)
check router's port forwarding

Got port forwarding enabled on router, won't allow me to connect on net I.P. Or local I.P Even when dissabled firewall it still doesn't work.

Any chance of some help with server error topic.

If you are still stuck with port, msn me directly. I'll do my best to help you out.

Server error: no, I am not sure what else are corrupted. I also know setup.txt is always corrupted because it's constantly opened/written. I would start with a restore with your last known good backup.

i have re written the setup.txt and still got the errors. Can't think what is the problem but it only started since server crashed/power failed this morning. My last good backup is quite old now but the setup.txt is blank in it for some reason, any chance you could let me know if you see any errors in the setup.txt i posted screen of, i can't see anything obvious.

Any idea what can be done to reverse these errors? Do you think it is the files in mud3 or maybe database?? not sure how to proceed.

Not too sure bout the connection issue on lan either, think it is purely my router not supporting loopback. Hoping to get a dedi line arranged once server is fixed so wont be a problem.

connection problem should be easy to fix.
if people can't get in to char screen, check tbl_pubips
if people can't get in to game screen, check the dbserver's ini.

EDIT: Figured out that because I had 2-3 different !setup.txt editors in C:\Mud3\Setup\ it was giving 2 different server names. Sorted that but now I am getting starttimer exception when its loading the emergency maps.

I've checked the map path in !setup.txt and its fine, also checked sql ips and passwords and they are also fine, any ideas?
