as i said to u tom any thing for £200-300 as long as it gets u from A to B. You crash it u scrap it and dont claim for first few years. pointless buying a half decent car for a few grand then to smash it week after

Nova were cheap cars & cheapest insurance group. Apparently they are higher on insurance now due to it being the most stolen car in the country. Not sure how true this is though.

Had me a Fiesta 1.1 like old school model - the boxy one. It was leet.
car was 500 (was recently mot'd/taxed/new clutch), and then insurance was over 1k.

The exhuast broke 2-3 times, in different ways/places, battery/mech failed 2 times - which took about 4 road-side break downs to work out.
So by the time i'd run that about for a year i got rid of it. And havnt had one since, not worth it whilst at uni.

But despite the costs, the independance etc is well worth it.

Jealousy gets you no-where...

not jealousy. just lame they need there parents to get things in life. i work hard for my stuff then you get spoilt kids getting these really nice cars then smash them up. which makes our insurance goes up.

I'm gunna try my best to spoil my kids rotton when I have some. Dunno about you but I want them to be as happy as I can possibly make them.

Anyways, Tom. Not much point in getting a car now for a few years, i'm not even gunna start learning for another year or two. Not much point really, between the petrol, lessons, insurance, tax, the car itself and it's repairs etc. I'd much rather walk places and spend my money on better things tbh.

Anywho, that's my two cents, if you have that big of an urge to zoomzoom down a road at 30mph. Then good luck.

As for first cars, my brother had a fiesta and my cousin had a corsa. Old ones, I thought they where decent first cars.
