For those with black screen issues, I uploaded set of .Net Framworks and other stuff that might be needed to megaupload here
Code:
[URL]https://mega.nz/#!AUpVTCBA!KHLgDoGHs9hJ9DgCTIJXe6qBmOHIswjDu0-aA48xQzo[/URL]
It has 310MB and includes the following selfinstalling files:
-----------------------------------
DirectX.Runtimes.9.0c_v9.29.1962
Gamers.Runtimes.Lite_v2.2
MS..NET.Framework.4.5.3_v2014.09.23_Win7
MS.NET.Framework_v3.5_Win8.1
MS.NET.Framework_v4.6.1_2015.12.01_NT6.1
MS.Visual.Runtimes.AIO_2014.09.29
MS.XML.Parser_v4.0-SP3

SetupS.SendTo.Suite
----------------------------------

First you need to install the SetupS.SendTo.Suite which will then enable you to auto install the above runtimes and frameworks (it is a special installer for autoinstalling without any input on your part). If you not sure you need it and you got black screen, just try installing it all as it will refuse to install if your computer doesn't need it or whatever, basically you don't break anything if you try to install it all. And its all clean.
I will copy this to that other black screen thread if pple find it useful.

Or you could just....you know....Go to Microsoft where the official files are? lol

.NET Framework 3.5
.NET Framework 4.5

That covers all Frameworks you need as 3.5 covers all prior versions.

May be worth noting...
Supported Operating System

Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2, Windows Vista Service Pack 2

Windows Vista SP2 (x86 and x64)
Windows 7 SP1 (x86 and x64)
Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 (x64)
Windows Server 2008 SP2 (x86 and x64)

I mean...it baffles me that people still use Windows XP, but I can bet that's the majority of the problem.

That will be the resolution go to the client folder and open Mir2Config.txt fidn where it says Resolution= change it from 1366 to 1024, that should resolve your issue.

If windows XP is the issue I'm not really sure what to say / do ... you need to upgrade your OS.

We're not going to support end of life operating systems, sorry.

I suspect it is Windows 10 that is the issue... It installs the latest DirectX drivers with the installation, the suggested fix appears to be to back port to DirectX 9? I could be wrong.

if you're all talking about black lines: that's most likely either an issue with your display driver, or your screen.
modern lcd screens dont like you having totaly 'random' resolutions
example: if i use 1366 on my 16:10 screen, then mir looks like i'm watching a widescreen movie on a normal tv (aka black border at top/bottom)

that's exactly why i added the 1280 resolution :p (this is a resolution that's friendly to 16:10 monitors)
could even be your screen dislikes 1024 or favors borderless window mode etc who knows

i would guess its that reason then has my screens are both 16:10

the latest minute addition of the item upgrade's via the Grade system has made a few things unbalanced... the items have since been adjusted so the power isnt as great any more. Unfortuantly the current items ingame dont update their stats (but being beta that isnt a big deal)

I'll most likely be doing an overhaul of all the caves and buffing them a bit to go in line with the new added stats

Yes the server was down due to a crash, big thanks to Jamie for helping fix it.. Crashes in beta are a GOOD thing we need it to crash and find as many bugs as possible

big thanks to everyone that's played and helped test and find bugs etc
