Elaberate on the term hacking.
Is he hacking the host or the people ? If its the people then it is usually down to foolishness - ie. they keep passwords in hotmail emails, they have a text file on their comp called : passwords.

not sure if this wud work but if its ur that is getting hacked, then try running a firewall once the server has been loaded. Not sure if ppl will b able 2 log on 2 server tho :S

You'd need to allow them access iirc and if you have lots of newcomers etc. that could be a nuisance.

I haven't tried this but is it possible to hack through http? say the IP is 82.65.4.271 you scan 82.65.4.271 for open ports (or use a port that the DB server uses) and brute force http://82.65.4.271:the port

To stop hackers just change your password every few days :P

i think thay have hacked the host pc and geting the id and pass from him it there a way to ban there ip so when thay try to log in to hack the player thay cant get on the server

tyr using symbols as ur password on ur account i.e. (£$@) etc this wat i did when kept on being hacked and it worked 4 me

You can ban ip's but if there ip isn't static then it really isn't easy to get rid of them.

I'd advise the host to maximise security as much as possible. I think some firewalls are runable when you are hosting a server that still allow people to get on.

Make sure the host has no viruses/trojans/backdoors etc.

you just create a rule for your firewall to only allow game access in through those ports.. maybe searching will help.

from what i can tell the hacker is using a mirlander program, all he needs to hack is the login id and the user name. Probably got the id's from the host pc. Is there any way of stopping mirlander?

SomeOne is hacking in the host comp simple as demonio has tried to help him but he seems to think keeping his f/w up will help...
