Things dying process starts with roots. Mir client roots are still good but one of its side roots pretty well died off, the mapping root.
Not only those who kept it alive left or stopped working on maps but even servers don't give much any love to maps. More and more we are given mir3 substitute maps as starting out maps on mir2 serves and many make do with just a SZ area and teleport to caves directly.
And when somebody does work with maps and needs some help, it turns up they still use the original chinese version of the editor. To keep spirits up, I open the old forum mapping threads, how sad LOL
