It might be coz its a script that controls other programs?? Some virus scanners stop loaders and macros etc. I remember mcaffee stopped me running a macro.

your the first to notice it. none of my virus checkers have picked it up. def not a virus in the version i have..

you neva directly run the kingsoft exe. theres a startup program with it you have to use.

sorry i thought u were runing the kingei straight up, the kingsoft1.1.exe is the statup prog you need to run. no virus detected in it with norton.

no idea why it should tbh. you tried it on any otha pc? or try jus downloading it again.

You need DBSrv Running before it will kick into life - running it on its own will do nothing (flashes up then off).

I have touched on Virus Checkers before, My Only probelm I ever had was AVG Free Version (V7) - which told me god know how many files had Virus yet not a Single other Virus Checker (including the online ones) said it did not have - what does that tell you???

I have even ripped apart exe and checked the code inside on one that AVG said had a virus. I have Every single (close enough) Virus Checker installed on various machine around here - if there was a virus I would be on the case straight away..

Well the roder that I tried them is as follows:

King 10 person server version - this worked fine...
Patch for 70 people - screwed up big time...
Patch for Unlimited posted by NMA - this worked fine..
Cruel Dragon - again once I edit the Ini file and re-set up the ODBC to match (as it uses diff names) worked...

For the King one - I started King1.1c.exe, also King 1.1b works a treat too.,,

mine did the same i had AVG 7 Free Edition and i thought it was a good anti virus program but half the time there was no virus's it was just apps trying to access things so i un installed AVG re started comp and ran kingsoft and worked fine ill upload my kingsoft for u when im at home see if it makes any diff i use 1.1c
