@Konni - we can rip the latest ones from mirpatch FTP, that way we're not backtracking. Afaik, they just released the new one for Ei. Looks very cool.

I'm just fiddling with server code atm, programming some custom sockets, and testing out different types of encryption.

look into Multithreading the Server or look at my server (its multithreaded) and not just the Socket being multithreaded, we also need to make sure its work load can be split, so that means a global controller object. Anyway.. i'm kinda loaded up with all the graphic maths (yuk) so i too busy to do this kinda stuff at the mo, if you can look into it.

Persist the window locations? You mean keep them non-movable?

If so, i'd say let 'm be moved. Sure, will mean a lot more drawing, but i find it helpful to be able to move thing around

no i mean when they open the prog next time and press the horse window its in the same posision as when they closed it last time they ran mir

I suggest you download the latest full client off the official site (using a proxy - without download manager). Then run the auto-update. Thats exactly what i done to get the latest korean patch for mir2.
