Launcher Problem

well, this problem has nothing to do with running a server, its about playing them.


i have been playing a server for a while now without problems, but all of a sudden today i went to click the launcher and i got

"Chinease symbols" has stopped working error. everytime i try and open the launcher.


I tried,

Restarting,
Deleting the folder and re-copying my original untouched mir3 files,
Renaming the launcher,
Using different launchers,
System restore,

i am running vista


any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Servers are designed for win2k server. I don't see why s/he needs slaps.

Were talkin about playing not hosting, please keep up before you flame tnx.

i have the illusion launcher which works but i dont know how to configure it to run with other servers.

If you mean the Launcher from Mir3 IllusionServer then I can you say it is
a own system, made by me and it is not for other Server. My Launcher
works under Vista, I know, it is Designed for XP and Vista and you can
the Launcher only use to play Illusion Server.

i have come to the conclusion, it is not the launcher, it is the Mir3.exe, mir will not run..


i have played Illusion server, the launcher for illusion does work for me, but the mir3.exe is what closes.

any ideas why my mir3.exe will not run, launcher or not?

this sounds like you run Vista 64bit version ? yes or no ?

If yes : Search for other game, Mir3 work not correct with 64bit XP or Vista
If no : other Problem you have and it need the exact Crash Info. if it crash with Access Violation 000000005 then Disabele your WindowsFirewall or put the game to the Wihtelist and or the same with your Antivir or Firewall system.

hello,
its been a while but im back at it, trying to fix it...nobody can stay away from mir for that long :P

ok, i am running Vista 32 bit ... *phew*

the error i get is...."The application failed to initialize properly.(0xc0000005)"

I turned off my firewall, restarted my computer..and still nothing.

Could there be another program blocking it?

i normally get that now and then when ive been trying different launchers for my server. erm have u tried using the euromir.exe on mirfiles or try using the 3.55 loader which is on there

Ok well i figured out something out, so im gonna let it be known here, because people were trying to help me.

this is what i did..

Download virtual Pc and install windows xp on a different partition lol

problem solved.

now all i need is a server to play.

Not one that has changed the game so much that it looks retarted, but not one thats exactly the same.

any ideas?
